Care Program
A-Z Little World Faily Daycare believes children learn through play and a good program will provide opportunities for all levels of development and types of activities.
Purpose Of the Daycare:
❖ Provide a safe, healthy, nourishing, promoting, caring, environment that meets the needs of children aged 12 months to grade 5
❖ Promote self-confidence and responsibility with creative choices for each child at an age
appropriate level.
Program Description and Philosophy:
A-Z Little World Family Daycare program is designed to meet the different needs of children and families in our community. We encourage and support the potential of children through a natural learning environment that provides the best social and emotional growth, and physical and intellectual skills. Feelings of achievement, confidence and success are promoted through a wide range of child appropriate activities and opportunities. Each day will include a variety of activities, such as arts and crafts, music, indoor and outdoor play, community walks and plenty of time for free play.
Program Goals:
❖ To support emotional development by creating a warm, caring, and secure environment.
❖ To provide opportunities for independence by allowing possibilities to make decisions and take on additional responsibility.
❖ To ensure support for social development by encouraging verbal communication, promoting opportunities for sharing and working together, guiding children’s behavior through example and positive redirection, and promoting self-control skills.
❖ To support each child’s creative development by offering opportunities for artistic self-expression and exploration in different activities.
❖ Support physical development by encouraging large and fine motor movement and proper nutrition.
❖ To provide opportunities for learning through a program which encourages exploration, problem- solving and understanding.
❖ To support the inclusion of all children even those who require extra support |
